Indiana Regional Medical Center is proud to be hosting the 11th Annual Spirit of Caring Award sponsored by IRMC's Behavioral Health Services. The award is being held in conjunction with the month of November, which is designated as National Family Caregiver Month. IRMC recognizes the roles that caregivers play and holds this event to raise awareness and to honor family members, friends, or neighbors who care for their loved ones on a consistent basis without pay.
Anyone can nominate a caregiver for the Spirit of Caring Award. A candidate for the award is someone who cares for one or more individuals with a disability, chronic illness, dementia, or cancer and does so without receiving pay.
All nominees and a guest will be invited to the Spirit of Caring Recognition Luncheon on November 8, 2017, at Rustic Lodge. One nominee will be selected to receive the 2017 Spirit of Caring Award. This person's name will be announced at the event.
The caregiver stories will be read weekdays during the month of November on Todd Marino's Indiana in the Morning show on WDAD. To have your story shared, be sure to give permission on the nomination form.
Please submit all nominations by October 31, 2017.
